1. Introduction

Meeting and getting to know new people is always very exciting and thrilling. However, you should always be careful and considerate when interacting with people you don’t know. You should always use good common sense and put your own safety first. You can never fully control the actions and decisions of others. However, you can pay attention to certain things that can improve your safety when interacting with other people. Below we have listed a few things you should bear in mind.

2.1. Use our app

We have developed our app specifically so that you can get to know other users via the app. This means you don’t have to share your phone number, social media accounts or home address with other people. This gives you time to get to know the other users before you share such private information.

2.2. Protect your private information

You should never share sensitive private information – such as your home address, work location, places you go (e.g. your gym), phone number, social security number or bank account number, and other financial information – with people you don’t know. Similarly, you should not share private information about your children or other third parties with people you don’t know.

2.3. Never send money

You should never send money to people you don’t know. Even if, according to the other person, it is an alleged emergency.

2.4. Beware of fraudsters

You must always be alert and be especially careful of people who are supposedly in an emergency situation. Always remember, people may pretend to be someone else. If other users always avoid your questions or immediately want a relationship with you even though they have never seen you before, this is an obvious red flag.

2.5. Report conspicuous behavior

If a user does not adhere to our guidelines, it is important that you report this to us. You should block and report users who violate our General Terms and Conditions or our User Guideline . Violations are for example:

  • Underage users
  • Requests for money or donations
  • Discrimination, bullying or (sexual) harassment
  • Inappropriate behavior during physical meetings or conversations
  • Fake profiles
  • Spam
  • Links to websites that offer products or services (except authorized advertising)
  • Prostitution

2.6. Protect your user account

Use a strong and secure password. You should also be careful when logging in via public and unsecured networks or using devices that are used by several people. If you are asked for your user account data (e.g. via email), you never share this information . You should report such incidents to us immediately. Furthermore, you shall never share your registration code with others and only use the code for our app.

3. Physical meetings


3.1. Meet in public places

You should always hold your first few dates with other users in public places where there are lots of other people. Furthermore, you should stay in these public places. You should never hold the first few dates in a private place (e.g. in the other user’s flat).

3.2. Don’t let yourself get stressed

Take your time and interact with other users via our app before you meet them in person. You should also ask the right questions at the beginning and not be afraid that certain users might not want to meet you.

3.3. Let others know when, where and with whom you are meeting

Let your colleagues or family know who you are meeting, where and when. You should also make sure that your mobile phone has enough battery before you meet up with other users.

3.4. Know your limit

Drugs – such as alcohol – can strongly influence people and weaken your judgment. If the other person urges you to drink alcohol or take other drugs, you should end the date immediately.

3.5. Use your own transportation

You should use your own transportation (e.g. car) to get to a physical meeting. This means you can stop the meeting and leave whenever you want.

3.6. Never leave your drinks and personal belongings unattended

You should always know where your drinks come from and where they are. You should only accept drinks that are brought directly from the restaurant or bar staff. Unfortunately, substances in drinks are often used in an attempt to make people submissive. Furthermore, you should always keep personal items (e.g. cell phone, wallet) that contain personal information or are valuable with you.

3.7. Leave the meeting if you feel uncomfortable

You should leave the meeting immediately if you feel uncomfortable. If your gut feeling tells you to leave the meeting, then you should definitely do so.

3.8. LGBTQIA+

We stand for diversity and inclusion. However, it is unfortunately a reality that not everyone sees it this way and certain attitudes or sexual orientations are even prohibited and punishable in certain countries. You should therefore always find out where the meeting is taking place and where you are traveling to.

4. Health and consent


4.1. Protect yourself

Sexually transmitted diseases (e.g. HIV or HPV) are a serious matter. Condoms – if used correctly – can reduce the risk of sexually transmitted diseases. The risk of getting certain sexually transmitted diseases can also be reduced by other means (e.g. vaccination). Inform yourself about appropriate available options to protect yourself.

4.2. Talk about it

Talk about sexually transmitted diseases, testing and contraception before you get intimate with other people. In certain countries, it is a criminal offense to knowingly have unprotected sex with another person if you know that you have a sexually transmitted disease.

4.3. Know your health

Not all sexually transmitted diseases show clear symptoms. You should get tested and see a doctor if you have had unprotected sex.

4.4. Consent

Intimacy is based on mutual consent. This consent can also be revoked during sexual intercourse. No person owes another person intimacy or sexual intercourse. Clear and transparent communication is therefore extremely important. You should also be aware if the other person is under the influence of alcohol or other drugs and is therefore no longer able to give consent for intimacy.

Even if you adhere to the above points, the risk of misconduct can never be completely reduced to zero. You should always report misconduct to us or the relevant authorities immediately. This is important for your health and safety.
